Gratitude is a speech act that people inevitable use in their daily life.Polite,accurate and appropriate use of gratitude can not only promote the smooth progress of communication,but also maintain the harmony of interpersonal relations.Gratitude speech act is an important subject in pragmatics.In recent years,with the promotion of the national "One Belt And One Road" policy,China-Pakistan exchanges have become increasingly close,and the number of Pakistan students studying in China has been increasing year by year.Meanwhile,the research on Chinese teaching for Pakistani students has attracted more and more scholars' attention.However,the research on Pakistani foreign students' speech behavior is still weak,especially on their Chinese speech behavior of gratitude.Based on the speech act theory as a guidance,through investigation and analysis of the Chinese native speakers and Pakistan students Chinese gratitude speech act,this report discusses its hidden reasons behind the deep culture of different reasons,so as to inherit and carry forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation "gratitude",enrich and perfect the system of the speech act theory,promote the Pakistan students smoothly communicate with Chinese.Besides,it provides the reference for Chinese teachers in Pakistani students in Chinese teaching.This paper mainly elaborates from the following aspects:The first part is about the research of Chinese gratitude speech act In this paper,the definition,purpose,pragmatic function and classification of gratitude speech act are expounded by searching relevant literature and materials.The second part is the investigation and analysis of Chinese native speakers' gratitude speech act and Pakistani students' Chinese gratitude speech act.By means of questionnaire survey and interview,this paper investigates and analyzes the speech acts of Chinese gratitude of native Chinese speakers and Pakistani students studying abroad,obtains some survey results,and analyzes the influencing factors of these survey results.Thirdly,through the comparative analysis method,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the gratitude speech acts of Pakistani students and native Chinese speakers,and finds out the similarities,differences and the deep reasons for the differences.Finally,according to the deep reasons for the differences between foreign students in Pakistan and native Chinese speakers,this paper puts forward some teaching Suggestions from some aspects,including teachers,teaching methods,teaching strategies and textbook compilation,and so on.
