"Anhui Huangmei Opera Traditional Drama Collection" is a set of excellent series of valuable works of Huangmei Opera.In this paper,the appellation in Huangmei Opera of Anhui Province is taken as the object of study.From the sociolinguistic point of view,under the guidance of the theory of language variation,the pragmatic function of appellation is explored by studying the change of appellation,and the social and cultural connotation of the old society is reflected.The full text is divided into four parts:The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly introduces some achievements in the study of Appellations in academic circles,and gives the definition of appellations used in this paper,as well as the significance and methods of the study of Appellations in the compilation of traditional plays of Huangmei Opera in Anhui Province.Chapter two describes the use of kinship terms in Huangmei Opera Collection of Anhui Province.It collects and counts them exhaustively from three aspects: direct kinship terms,collateral kinship terms and royal kinship terms,with emphasis on the dialectal appellations.Chapter three shows the use of social appellations in Huangmei Opera of Anhui Province through the analysis of appellations expressing social relations,professional status and talent and virtue.Chapter four is the focus of this paper.Guided by the theory of linguistic variation in sociolinguistics,this paper explores the pragmatic functions of Appellations in different contexts by studying the forms of appellations that are out of the ordinary.Moreover,appellation also reflects the cultural connotation of feudal society: clear hierarchical concept,official-based thinking,showing a certain religious and cultural color.
