National Chinese Opera and traditional Drama are closely connected with each other since the West Modern Drama brought to China. They influenced each other deeply in Aesthetic, and changed the whole pattern of Chinese Drama never before. Drama and Opera both share the general features of drama arts, while their style and aesthetic spirit are dramatically different. To some extent, referring to Opera is an important step for drama to become nationally. On the other hand, adapting Drama to Opera is a significant way for Drama to get progress. Over the last century, emerged endless Opera which were adapted from extraordinary drama works, especially for some young type of drama.Practice should always ahead of theory. Up to today, "adapting Drama to Opera" has always been practiced and played an important role in Opera compose, while still be absent in theoretical study. Therefore, how to summarize and make better use of the historical experience in Adapting Chinese Drama Into Chinese Opera is becoming an urgent problem.This article starts from a classical drama Thunderstorm (by Caoyu), and selects some adapted Thunderstorm in Shanghai Opera, Huangmei Opera and Peking Opera as concrete cases. The author tries to search out the successes and failures on Adapting Chinese Drama Into Chinese Opera, and it would offer some theoretical references for latter adapter.
