| Xiao Hong is a Chinese modern writer.Her works is mainly based on the"hometown" image.She created a regional image which is full of love,hate,bitterness,joy,anger,sadness and pain.It contains rich local knowledge and social-cultural spirit.This paper studies Xiao Hong’s works from the perspective of literary anthropology,and explores the connotation and the value of her anthropological writing.This paper consists of three parts:the introduction,the body and the conclusion.The introduction is about the domestic and international literature review and researches of Xiao Hong,the research’s ideas and methods.The body part is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is "The Characteristics of Xiao Hong’s Anthropological Writing".Firstly,analyse the impact of the regional culture to Xiao Hong’s creation under the background of the northeast China’s ecological environment and the cultural environment.Secondly,using the theory of cultural anthropology to explore the anthropological connotation of Xiao Hong’s works,such as the foods,the festivals,the shaman beliefs and the funerals habits in her literary hometown.The second chapter is"the way of Xiao Hong’s anthropology writing".There are two ways about her anthropology writing.The first part interprets the archetypal narrative way of Xiao Hong’s works,which is divided into two angles.The first angle is to use Jung’s archetypal theory to analyze three typical archetypal images in Xiao Hong’s novels.The images are "Anima","Animus" and "Garden".The second angle is to use the "autumn"narrative theory of Frye to analyze the narrative way of Xiao Hong’s novels.The second part analyzes the lyrical way of Xiao Hong’s works,pointing out that her lyrical way is a modern lyricism with her subjectiveness.Her lyricism is divided into two ways.One of them is nostalgia.The paper points out that Xiao Hong’s nostalgia is divided into repairing nostalgic and reflective nostalgia.The other way is that she constructed a hometown image through fictional and imaginative means.And she used this hometown image to pin her homesickness.The paper points out that the hometown image is a"middle landscape" rather than an "Arcadia".The third chapter analyzes the anthropological value of local knowledge in Xiao Hong’s works.Xiao Hong reproduces her own local experience in her works and reserves the precious cultural memories of the ethnic group.Her anthropological writing has great value for the Northeast China,which is in the process of modernization.Her writing also has important implications for Chinese contemporary literature.In the conclusion part,I reflect on the significance of Xiao Hong’s creation to the predicament of regional writing and the phenomenon of endemicity disappearance in the process of modernization. |
