Constitute Meets The Eye - Shen Congwen Xiao Hong Native World

Since the invasion of Western culture, modern China is confronted with multicultural coexistence, conflict and contest. The modern China literature emerged, and started to find a way out of China culture in this background. This thesis try to analysis the two different local world and find out the cause. By comparison of their local literary works, I found there is some inner similarity behind the huge difference between them in their works. That is Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong's thought and effort to find a way out when they encountered the multiculture coexist and conflict, This thesis is divided into three chapters:The first chapter sort out the China's Rural Social Research in the view of composition and direction of Chinese rural society, and provide local literature of China's social background. Then organize local Chinese literary theory, discribing two sorts of modern Chinese literature which are criticism and lyricism properties in the exchange at Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong's work.The second Chapter described Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong's local composition of the world, the former showing the coexistence of pastoral and decay, focusing on exploring local political intrusion in the modern world under the change; which shows the indifference of the world Xiao Hong described by local, interpersonal diaphragm, and the villagers vitality and some human warmth;The third Chapter explore Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong's native world constitute the reasons for similarities and differences. Firstly, the natural environment and local culture from the perspective of Xiangxi natural beauty and the harsh natural environment in China Hulan River is different; at the same time that Xiangxi's Han, Miao, Tujia and Chu-wu culture is the relative independence of mainstream cultures in China. Hulan River'culture also is relative independent. Secondly, character from the writer is similarities to and differences in rebellious, stubborn, tenacious and enthusiastic of personality; Thirdly, concepts from the literary and aesthetic point of view of two different orientations. That Shen using literature rebuilding the national character of the literary concepts and Xiao Hong Left literature it is different concepts, but with the Enlightenment Literature View is similar; Shen from the aesthetic distance, peaceful solemn and quiet, reconcile the aesthetic orientation and Xiao Hong intervention aesthetic, the conflict of aesthetics is different aesthetic orientation.Summary Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong's local literary texts, I found that Critical and lyrical form the double meaning of their local literature. This represents the intersection of two cultures that Conservatism and Radicalism of modern Chinese culture, it also represents the efforts and approach of two kinds of thinking of modern Chinese cultural construction.There is enlightenment of emotion, thought and culture for the current rural development and cultural construction.
