The Study Of The "Dream Poetry" In Tang Dynasty

Dream and poetry is affiliated to different field,but there is a close identification of the dream and poetry by the medium of the literature.Dream have enriched the content and theme,provided the ultra-experienced inspiration of the poetry.Meanwhile,the poetry gave the life of literature to illusory dream,made the meaning of poetry more profound.They complement each other,accomplished a lot of excellent poetry.Tang Dynasty is a peakedness in the history of Chinese poetry.Various poetries emerged in an endless stream,including“Dream Poetry”.The study is divided into four parts as the followings:The first part is to illustrate the relations between the dream and poetry,including the spirit of the dream and the belief of the sign in the dream,also refered to the theoretical research of the dream in the West,to focus on the connections between the dream and poetry.The second part divided the“Dream Poetry”into four sections,the complaint from the wife,homesickness,yearning for somebody and sentimental feelings,analyzed the content and skill of the“Dream Poetry”,even the psychology behind the poetry of the poets.The third part concluded the development of the theme in the past“Dream Poetry”,centered around three sections,poetry about immortals,subjects and symbolic language of the dream.The last part analysed the“Dream Poetry”of Li Shangyin,an important poet in the late Tang Dynasty,to discuss the thoughts and minds behind the“Dream Poetry”.So we can better understand the theme and connotation of Li Shangyin's Poetry.The Tang Dynasty Dream Poetry experienced the gestation of the Pre-Qin Dynasty,the germination of the Han Dynasty and the development of the Wei,Jin,Northern and Southern Dynasties,has gradually become mature.Studying these“Dream Poetry”can not only have a deeper understanding of the poet's minds,but also better figure out the mentality of the poets.
