For the historical,political and regional reasons,Taiwan's^film culture has formed its own unique development thread.Under the common influence of Chinese traditional culture,Japanese colonialism and Western feminist theornes,Taiwanese female movies also present unique forms different from those of mainland China and Hong Kong.The period from 1950s-1980s is the key period of social transformation and the change of female status in Taiwan.This paper explores the construction process of women's subjectivity in the context of social change through three parts:the evolution of Taiwanese female movies,the evolution of women's role images and the transformation of feminist issues.The first three chapters of this paper introduce the research background and methods.In the body part,the forth chapter of this paper can divided into three parts:Firstly,through the changes from the characteristics of the film era from agriculture to industry and commerce,the paper reflects the real state of the transformation from agriculture to industrial and commercial society;Secondly,through the changes from"virtual to"real"in the expression of the film theme,the paper reflects the social demand for the change of film creation in different political,economic and cultural backgrounds.Thirdly,through the increasing number of female movies and directors,the paper truly marked the rising status of female in reality and images.In the fifth chapter,through the analysis of female roles' physiological,ability,family and consciousness awakening images in movies,the paper explores the image evolution of women from family,social'"object" to self subject".The typification of women in movies includes"Earth Mother","Women is trouble”,"Innocent Girl1',who protect the core interests of men,but also include"Martyrs,New Women","Scarf",who challenge the symbols of male chauvinism.From these female images,the paper reflects the female consciousness of independence,reflection and desire.The sixth chapter of this paper,on the basis of the evolution of women's films and the evolution of women's images,extracts the core issue that runs through women's films-the domination and disintegration of patriarchal system.Based on the feminist film theory,this paper discusses the issues from three perspectives of women's social identity,gender identity and mother identity,demonstrates the reversal of women's consumption,desire expression and mother's mission in Taiwanese films,and comprehensively explores the changes of feminist ideas in films in the past 30 years.Through the above research and analysis,this paper extracts the construction process of women's subjectivity under the social changes from 1950s-1980s.On this basis,it reflects the two-dimensional structure and interaction between society and media,reality and image,makes us to understand Taiwan's^society and culture through the art prism of film.
