The Dong family in Songjiang in Ming Dynasty belonged to the prestigious family in Zhejiang, and Dong Qichang was the representative of the family. In the late Ming Dynasty, his family organized and printed several law posts, which had a great influence at that time. This paper takes Rong Geng's Tibetan Tie published by Guangdong People's Publishing House,Shu Zhi Tang Tie collected by Zhejiang Library,Rong Geng's Series Tie Catalogue,Zhang Boying's Commentary on Stele Tie and Dong's Genealogy collected by Shanghai Library as the main reference materials, and tries to make textual research on their family carvings by sorting out and checking the relevant materials. This paper mainly through the background of carving activities, carving status, carving behavior meaning and other three aspects.Firstly, the background of Dong's family carving activities is studied and analyzed,in which the family background focuses on the origin of Dong's family in Songjiang and the establishment of Dong's imperial examination house;the background of the times is discussed from the aspects of social thoughts, cultural atmosphere and economic and material factors. The carving activities of the Dong family in Songjiang are the result of their accumulation in politics, economy and culture. The second is the textual research of Dong's family engraving, focusing on three aspects: first, the general situation and style of engraving, involving the identity of the owner, origin and time of engraving;second, the status of engraving, involving the arrangement of engraving, the change of engraving to ink marks;third, the origin and attributes of engraved engraving.Dong Qichang's copying works and imitations are the main choices in the selection of Dong's family carved posts, among which the copying works originated from his family collection and borrowing.Thirdly, through the analysis of Dong's family carving activities,we can seeDong Qichang's self-management,focusing on cultural business cards, gifts and cultural commodities, intellectual property rights and other aspects.Dong Qichang's reputation can not be established without his own management,in which engraving plays an important role.
