Lucy R.Lippard and John Chandler created a dematerialized creation in the 1968 article "Art International" in the groundbreaking article "Dematerialization of Art".concept.From this we can see that since the 1960 s,the anti-intellectual,emotional/intuitive ways of artistic creation in the past two decades have begun to give way to a super-conceptual art that almost completely emphasizes the process of thinking. In the decades after the emergence of the concept of “dematerialization”,software and digital data are replacing the traditional physical dimensions of art as the medium of creation continues to expand.Contemporary art has undergone major and extensive changes, and dematerialization has become a phenomenon that we deserve to discuss again now. This article discusses the performance of dematerialization in contemporary art through three parts. The first part,“Re-examining dematerialization”,defines the contemporary context of dematerialization, including the definition of dematerialization and the distinction between dematerialization and materiality. On the basis of the first part, the second part of the "three possibilities of dematerialization" examines the contemporary three artists Damien Hirst,Hans Huck and Philip Parreno in the dematerialized performance.Practice has expanded the space for interpretation of matter. The third part,"Dematerialization and Personal Practice" mainly presents the artistic orientation based on dematerialization in the exhibition "Invalid Exchange" which I participated in,the objective conditions and practical examples of the works, expounding the creation of artists and individuals.Thinking.The "Conclusion" section summarizes how we should understand the aesthetic value, theoretical value, historical value, and thinking and inspiration of our own creative practice. |
