In recent years,with the advancement of English teaching reform in Higher Vocational colleges,interactive teaching mode has been widely applied to improve the teaching quality.With the renewal of Higher Vocational English education theories and teaching concepts and the development of teaching technology,interactive teaching gradually reflects its importance in English teaching.It plays a key role in improving students’ comprehensive ability of English learning and communicative language use and enhancing their learning motivation.This study conducts empirical research on the implementation of interactive mode in Higher Vocational English teaching,the author takes the teaching practice of Shanwei Polytechnic as an example.In order to figure out the actual situation of interactive teaching in Higher Vocational English,the author applied questionnaire,interview and classroom observation to find out the existing problems and their influencing factors,and put forward relevant strategies.Some suggestions are put forward,such as "student-centered interaction" which is suitable for the teaching methods of English courses in Higher Vocational college.Through investigation,we know the main interactive teaching methods adopted by teachers including teacher-student interaction,student-student interaction,student-text interaction(or man-machine interaction),etc.These methods can improve the attitude of higher vocational students to learn English,stimulate students’ motivation in learning,effectively strengthen students’ autonomous learning ability,and improve students’ English level.But at the same time,we also found some problems in the implementation of interactive teaching mode.In exploring problems existing in the interactive teaching of English in Higher Vocational colleges,the author applied relevant theories and research results to analyze the key factors that may affect the effectiveness of English interactive teaching.At last,suggestions were put forward to improve the teaching effect of interaction.
