On The Narcissism Tendency Of Female Private Novels In The 1990s

A change has taken place in Chinese contemporary female literature between the 1980s and the 1990s.If the female literary creations.of the 1980s are still relatively close to the social reality,the female private novels that prevailed in the 1990s exude a strong narcissistic atmosphere.Writers often avoid society and history,in the closed space of self-concern,self-narrative,self-recognition,self-affirmation.This kind of narcissism has a background of a specific era culture,and also has intenal reasons of the development of women’s literature.Narcissism often comes with the phenomenon of mirror love,same-sex love,self-abuse,etc.But the writers’ experience and memory are different,and the connotation of narcissism will be different.From an aesthetic point of view,the autobiographical approach based on personal memory and experience is the narrative strategy of writers’ self-expression and self-rescue,the personal narrative voice highlights the female authority of words,the spatialized narrative world is the best representation of the characters.Narcissism is the way that must be experienced to"know yourself" and also brings a pure world to us.So,its existence is reasonable.But it also puts female writing in a complicated dilemma.Writers are engaged in cultural construction of self-identity,they also need to hold up the wings of introspection.Only in the balance between identity and reflection can women break through themselves and get out of the woods,so fly to a wider world to write the life of women.And realize the creative ideal of caring for all mankind with personal experience.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the paper mainly analyzes from three levels.The first part mainly analyzes the content of the text,after summarizing the background of narcissism,the paper will analyze the common characteristics of narcissism in the text from the two aspects of birth instinct--narcissism and death instinct--self-abuse.At the same time,Chen Ran,Lin Bai and Xu Xiaobin are used as examples to explore the personality characteristics of narcissism.The second part mainly analyzes the aesthetic form,the narrative presentation of narcissistic texts is analyzed from three aspects:autobiographical narrative mode,personalized narrative voice and spatial narrative world.Through the discussion of the first two parts,the thesis can explore the deep connotation and original appeal of narcissism.The third part is the analysis and evaluation of narcissism,it includes the analysis of the meaningof narcissistic creation and the dilemma of narcissistic creation,and oin the basis of affirmation and reflection,the paper tries to find a way out of the dilemma.
