A Report On Interpreting For CX Think Tank Consulting Co.,Ltd. In Oman

Interpretation practice is an essential way to test interpretation theory and to identify the weaknesses of the interpreter.As China is becoming more open to the world in recent years,more enterprises choose to invest overseas and negotiate with the foreign government or companies,in which conference interpreting and liaison interpreting are the main interpretation forms.This thesis is a report on the author's interpretation experience in CX Think Tank's business visit to Oman.It introduces the inter:pretation during the industrial park visit,business conference and daily life from the perspective of an interpreter and communicator.This report aims to summarize how the preparation helped the interpretation and reflect on the lack of preparation.It also concludes the problems and corresponding solutions through case analysis,so as to avoid the problems and improve interpretation quality.This report describes the background,requirement,feature and significance of the task as well as the preparation,process and evaluation.The interpreter identifies the problems by playing back the record and analyzing cases.At last,this report concludes the performance interpreter and the inspiration of the interpreter.This thesis finds out that the problems are mainly related to understanding,expression and other miscellaneous problems,such as omission of preparation,cultural difference and note-taking,etc.,which are due to the language competence,preparation,interpretation strategy and strain capacity.The interpreter expects to provide some advice on interpretation by summarizing this practice.
