With the development of science and technology,new methods of teaching have been provided for educational cause of education.At present,WeChat,an instant messaging tool launched in 2011,has been widely used in English education in China,which has certain enlightening effect on the burgeoning teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the international promotion of Chinese.However,the current academic research in this field is still at the initial stage,so the author chose this field to study,trying to summarize the role and existing problems of WeChat in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the international promotion of Chinese,in the hope of contributing to the work of Chinese as a foreign language in China.This paper consists of nine chapters.In the first chapter of this paper,the author introduces the research background and research object of this topic,and summarizes the relevant literature;In the second chapter,the author sorted out the characteristics of WeChat teaching and learning;The third chapter of this paper is the investigation and analysis chapter.In this chapter,the author investigated the situation of foreign students learning Chinese with WeChat and the situation of teachers using WeChat to assist the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.In the fourth and fifth chapters of this paper,the author combined the investigation results of the third chapter and some teaching examples to summarize the role and advantages of WeChat in Chinese learning and Chinese teaching.In the sixth chapter of this paper,the author investigated 30 WeChat public accounts of Chinese as a foreign language,and analyzed the role of WeChat in the international promotion of Chinese.In chapter 7 of this paper,the author discusses the shortcomings of WeChat in the application of Chinese teaching and international promotion of Chinese.In chapter 8,based on these shortcomings,the author puts forward Suggestions on the application of WeChat in the field of Chinese as a foreign language.The ninth chapter is the conclusion chapter.Through the above research,the author comes to the conclusion that WeChat has been widely accepted and applied by foreign students and even overseas Chinese learners.WeChat's communicative function and circle of friends are enough to assist Chinese learning and teaching,and strengthen the communication between teachers and students.At present,WeChat public platform has a large number of resources related to Chinese as a foreign language,and has certain influence,which can play a certain role in the international promotion of Chinese.However,WeChat,as a new thing,still has some deficiencies in its application in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and promoting Chinese internationally.In terms of teaching,WeChat has some disadvantages,such as poor binding force on students and insufficient utilization of resource advantages.In the international promotion of Chinese,it is manifested as the disadvantages of single language type,low push frequency,unclear function positioning and so on.
