White Deer Plain:A Study On Adaptation Of Film And TV Series

Since the 1990 s,the media focus in China has shifted significantly from words to images,and the film and TV series have become the biggest adaptors of literary works.The change in the mode of text transmission is not only the change in literary and artistic forms and media,but also reflects the influence of cultural trends on texts.In order to cater to the contemporary aesthetic taste,the film and TV series works are changing both in the deep theme connotation and the superficial narrative presentation.The novel "White Deer Plain" is called the secret history of the nation.The epic character contained in the novel makes people stand out.Through the family history to show the national history,there is also a very large vision and story structure,so in the theme of the expression of a pluralistic multiple interpretation.This also makes it have more choices in the presentation of narrative level in the process of film and TV series.At present,film and TV series have appeared successively,and the public praise also shows great difference,which is inseparable from the different adaptation strategy.This paper focuses on the strategy of film and TV series adaptation of "White Deer Plain".In the introduction,starting from the occurrence and development of the adaptation of "White Deer Plain",this paper expounds the reasons that "White Deer Plain" entered the visual field of film and TV series.Later,the paper elaborates on the strategies of adaptation,including the theme,narrative structure and the transformation of characters in the process of adaptation.The second chapter starts with the theme,clarifies the different theme tendency of the novel text in the different media,and the common point between the film and TV series,that is,the dissolution of magic color in film and TV series,so as to explore the depth and intensity of theme expression brought by this change;The third chapter analyzes the differences between the twomedia in narrative structure.At the same time,the characteristics and reasons of different narrative structures are analyzed.Finally summed up the purpose of strategic structural adjustment,that is,to achieve the strengthening of the text content to be expressed;The fourth chapter analyzes the image of Bai Jiaxuan,Mr.Zhu,Tian Xiaoe and Bai Xiaowen,who show great differences in the process of adaptation.Since the dissolution of divinity in the theme after the adaptation leads to the gradual secularization of the characters,and the secularization tendency of these characters is more obvious,it is necessary to make a specific analysis;The fifth chapter analyzes the reasons for the differences between the overall adaptation strategy.Starting from the differences brought about by the deconstruction of historical context and the difficulty of the adaptation of the work itself,this paper probes into this kind of classic works from the dilemma of the film and television adaptation of the "White Deer Plain".On this basis,this paper thinks about the non-benign interaction between literature and film and television,and further thinks about the future development path.
