With the development of international education of Chinese language,Thailand,as one of the countries with the largest Chinese learning population,has an increasing number of people in learning Chinese.Chinese textbooks play an important role in international teaching of Chinese language and are the main basis for teachers’ teaching.Due to the different institutions and schools having Chinese courses in Thailand,there are no clear regulations on the selection of Chinese textbooks,finally leading to a variety of existing Chinese textbooks on the market.Nowadays,vocational education develops in Thailand,and vocational schools have become a big group of spreading Chinese.Most of the Chinese textbooks selected by vocational schools in Thailand are native textbooks.Due to the particularity of vocational education,many textbooks can’t satisfy the learning needs of vocational school students.This paper selects the vocabulary in two native textbooks in Thailand —— Chinese for Application and Chinese for Communication as the research object,and conduct a comparative study from the number of vocabulary,vocabulary repetition rate and the difficulty of the vocabulary.in view of the two words in the textbook layout,the advantages and disadvantages of combined with the characteristic of vocational school students,put forward the related references of teaching Chinese vocabulary to write,try to make some contributions to international education of Chinese language.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason and significance of the topic selection,research status,research objects,research materials and research methods.The second part mainly carries on the comparative research from the aspect of the vocabulary quantity of the two sets of teaching materials.The third part mainly studies the advantages and disadvantages of the two sets of textbooks in terms of vocabulary repetition rate.The fourth part mainly compares the two sets of textbooks with the vocabulary in the new HSK syllabus,and studies the advantages and disadvantages of the two sets of textbooks in vocabulary compilation.The fifth part,according to the advantages and disadvantages of the two sets of textbooks,puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of textbooks from the above aspects.The sixth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the conclusion and the deficiency.
