With frequent exchanges between Korea and China in political, economic, culture and other such modern Korean contains a large number of Chinese elements. A considerable Korean common vocabulary are derived from Chinese, and these have been gradually integrated into the system of Korean vocabulary and been a part of it. But in the process of integration, Chinese characters in Korean vocabulary compared to the corresponding Chinese words, great changes have taken place. And it has become a great subject to study the variation of these Chinese words.This paper studies the similarities and differences between Chinese and Korean by introduce and compare the basic types. By contrast research, I found that there’s something in common between Chinese and Korean, but there are also many differences. I roughly divided these into "Isomorph Synonym" and "Homonym", compare them in meaning and using. In addition, I also described the formation of Chinese Words and history of the incoming sources of Korean-Chinese Words and classification, and from the perspective of applied linguistics were analyzed the evolution of its theoretical basis.This comparative study are not only important to the study of vocabulary in Chinese and Korean, but also to overcome the language barrier, understand the culture and history between China and Korean. I hoped that this paper can provide some valuable references for learners from China and Korea.
