| This report is a comprehensive analysis and summary of translating Persian Gulf International Airport Master Plan which is provided by Shenzhen Temeiyi Translation Limited Corporation.In this translation report,the author takes the translation of Persian Gulf International Airport Master Plan(excerpt)as the research topic.Guided by the theory of text typology,this report presents the background of the task and translation process focusing on the translation difficulties encountered in the process of translation practice and elaborating the corresponding solutions through the analysis of examples.In this translation report,the author finally summarizes the enlightenment obtained from the writing of this translation practice report,hoping to provide reference for translators engaged in technical text translation in the future.The translation task belongs to the informative text according to the text typology theory.This report is guided by the theory of text typology and is adopted semantic translation and communicative translation as translation strategies.The report consists of five chapters.The first chapter is description of task and theoretical framework.The second chapter is the description of translation process.The third chapter is translation difficulties analysis.The fourth chapter is the relevant solutions to translation problems.Chapter three and four are the key parts of the report.The author analyses the problems encountered in the process of translation.What’s more,according to the guidance of text typology theory and the corresponding translation strategies,namely,semantic translation and communicative translation in the translation practice,the author makes an analysis of the specific strategies and methods adopted in the translation of the text.The last chapter is a conclusion.This part summarizes the translation practice,provides some information for other translators in translating text of this kind. |
