A Report On Consecutive Interpreting Practice Of "Agricultural Development Through ICT Application:China's Case"

This practical report is based on a consecutive interpretation of Agricultural Development through Information and Communication Technology:China's Case given by Wang Xiaobing,Director of the Information Center of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affaris of China.This class aims to strengthen communication and cooperation among the countries by conveying successful cases of China.The interpretation process is in line with the basic concepts of the interpretation theory,and the use of discourse comprehension-deverbalization-reformulation principle can achieve communication effects,so the author adopts the interpretation theory to guide this practice.Through the recording and material transfer of the practice,the author try to find the problem and analyzes it by examples,and explore the lessons that can be used for similar interpretation work.This practice report is divided into five chapters.The first chapter gives a description of the task.The second chapter shows the description of the interpretation process.The third chapter gives a brief introduction of the interpretive theory and the guidance in this practice.The fourth chapter is case analysis.The author summarizes the types of typical problems that appeared in the process,and adopted different interpretation strategies according to the interpretive theory,such as omission,conversion and free translation,etc.The fifth chapter summarizes the whole interpretation practice,including the author's enlightenment from this practice and the unsolved problems in this interpretation practice.This report not only provides further suggestions for expectations of the author,but also has certain guiding significance for future similar interpretation studies.
