A variety of English teaching approaches have come up with the implementation of the new curriculum standard and teaching reform in recent years.Among them,there are setting teaching method,a toxicology method,phonetics teaching and so on.But it seldom has anyone applied the method of cooperative learning in English Teaching of Grade Seven.The students of Grade Seven who have just entered the junior middle school,they can't adapt to the learning of junior middle school quickly,and the real systematic learning of English is also from Grade Seven.The learning of English knowledge is more systematic than the primary school stage,many students are not interested in English learning,and Grade Seven is the basic stage of the middle school stage,which plays an important role in the future learning.Cooperative learning is of great significance to English teaching of Grade Seven.The specific approach is to divide the class into several groups.The students in the group of cooperation has solidarity,cooperation and mutual support.It will complete the contents of the teachers' arrangement.It will improve the autonomy and the enthusiasm of students learning English at the same time through the way of the group cooperation.it helps the students to form a variety of language learning thinking and language perception.They promote the internalization of language knowledge and skills.In this paper,the author took the students of the Grade Seven in Beixing Middle School in AS as the subject,the author spent two semesters studying on the application of cooperative learning in English Teaching of Grade Seven.The writer would like to explore the necessity of the application of cooperative learning in English Teaching of Grade Seven and it could be implemented in theory,at the same time it was proved from the practice that cooperative learning method is more suitable for students of Grade Seven than the traditional teaching methods,it can improve the students' learning achievements and interests.Firstly the writer based on the analysis of the current situation of our understanding of English teaching in this study,the writer learned about the related concepts of cooperative learning,a detailed theoretical study,research framework and research status at home and abroad;secondly,in the course of the experiment,the writer adopted the use of a variety of research method.For example,literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and comparative analysis,the writer designed and completed the questionnaire data statistics.The writer obtained the problems from theory and practice of Grade Seven.The writer put forward some solutions to the problems,and gave some suggestions on how to apply cooperative learning in Grade 7.It has been proved by practice that cooperative learning can improve students' learning attitude,enthusiasm and achievement.At last,the writer hopes the experimental study can serve as a starting point and providesome reference for English teachers on how to use the cooperative learning effectively in English teaching and create efficient English class.
