Research On The Revolutionary Dramas Of The New Century(2000-2018)

This essay is based on the dramas of Chinese revolutionary published in the new century.Combining drama theory and literary criticism,it mainly depicts and interprets the unique features and meaning of the revolutionary theme dramas of the new century from the aspects of drama conflict construction,role modeling and drama techniques.The full text consists of five parts.The introductory part introduces the research object,and combines the existing research results to clarify the innovation and value of this paper.Chapter one explores how the playwrights express themselves in the narrative of the national ideology.They use the "voice" in text and theatre to stimulate audiences'revolutionary auditory imagination.By describing daily life and grand revolutionary landscape,they arouse viewers' historical memory of revolution so that they can convey specific meaning to the audiences.Chapter two analyzes how the playwrights imagine and reconstruct the revolution.By dramatically reproducing revolutionary scenes such as "father killing"and "complaining" and analyzing the spiritual world of revolutionary heroes in the form of "monologue",the plays explore the various meanings of revolution and the spiritual characteristics of revolutionaries,and create new revolutionary characters.Chapter three makes a case study of two dramas reflecting on the revolution from the perspective of gender,namely The Expeditionary Tribe and Women on the Long March.The former,in which the female discourse suppresses the revolutionary discourse,narrates the female life experience.The latter interweaves factors such as violence,gender,and desire to examine the plight of female revolutionaries.The conclusion points out the great significance of reconstructing the revolutionary narrative in the form of drama by playwrights in the new century.These works pay close attention to the significance of revolution and the problems of revolution,genuinely care about the value and dignity of individuals in revolution,and express the unique views on history and life.
