The Application Of Traditional Indigo Dyeing Art In Bag Design

Chinese traditional culture is extensive,profound and has a long history.Indigo dyeing,as an ancient printing and dyeing process,is like a pearl of night shining in the long history of China.After thousands of years of accumulation and evolution in history and culture,indigo dyeing presents a growing variety of process types and is applied in many fields.Traditional indigo dyeing not only cater to the modern people's individualized and diversified psychological demands with its elegance and purity,but also helps the environmental protection of the world.By consulting many documents and materials of traditional indigo dyeing,this paper studies four kinds of traditional indigo dyeing processes,and actively explores the artistic features,color application,expression techniques and realizable technological methods of them.By studying indigo tie-dyeing technology in practice,especially on the re-creation of indigo tie-dyeing process to form decorative patterns,extracting the traditional auspicious patterns of our country,creating decorative patterns by using the implementable scheme,traditional indigo dyeing is also applied to the functional style of positioning bags,enriching and expanding the modern design language of bags.In this paper,through the application of traditional indigo dyeing in bag design,combined with the current trend of domestic bag industry,national elements are added to modern bag design,creating exquisite and life oriented indigo dyeing productions from tradition.The integration of traditional indigo dyeing with modern production and life has become a new focus of fashion craft aesthetics.It also provides a reference for the organic combination of traditional indigo dyeing and the modern bag products,and provides a reference path for the better inheritance and development of China's excellent traditional crafts.
