Heidegger’s Thoughts On The Relationship Between Technology And Art

In his later thoughts,Heidegger not only focused on technology and art,but also paid attention to the relationship between technology and art.What is the significance of exploring the relationship between technology and art? On the one hand,The discussion of the relationship between art and technology runs through the whole aesthetic development,and many aesthetic ideas are also extended.Analyzing the relationship between them is an effective way to grasp the development of aesthetics,especially for modern aesthetics.On the other hand,Heidegger,in pointing out that modernity is a historical background of the era of images and technology,redefines the relationship between technology and art from an existentialist perspective,and provides new research ideas and research methods for aesthetics.It should be noted that Heidegger’s core keywords "truth" and technology and art are mutually explained.The relationship between technology and art implies that Heidegger’s understanding of truth and existence is an important way to understand Heidegger’s thoughts.However,most scholars have noticed Heidegger’s discussion on issues such as existence,art,language,and truth.The discussion of the relationship between technology and art in Heidegger’s theory has involved but has not attracted enough attention.This paper focuses on the relationship between technology and art in Heidegger’s thoughts.Based on the discussion of the relationship between technology and art in Heidegger’s text,the paper discusses the common points between technology and art in terms of origin,theoretical foundation,and operating methods,as well as the similarities and differences between technology and art in terms of generative nature.In addition,this article also pays attention to the technical problems that can not be ignored in contemporary society,including the analysis of the nature of technology and the redemption of technology by the clarification of art and other techniques.Heidegger clearly proposed that technology and art are homologous and come from the ancient Greek word for "craftsmanship." The theoretical basis for the homology of technology and art in Heidegger’s theory is "existence." In the later period of thought,the study of "existence" was still based on the previous period,and the "truth of existence" was the core,and "truth" and technology and art explained each other.This involves that both technology and art have the same way of operation,that is,both are the way in which the truth of existence occurs.The "skill" reveals the truth,so that "skill" is tied with "poetry","language","Tao" and so on.The technology and art that are born out of "craftsmanship" naturally inherit the essential characteristics of "making appearance" or "bringing forward" such as "craftsmanship" and the subtle balance mechanism that is "slightly" in the absence of change.Heidegger’s thoughts are different from traditional substantive thoughts.His thoughts are typical generative thinking activities."Existence" is generative,and the technology and art that exist on the basis of "existence" are also generative.But the two are not exactly equivalent.In essence,technology and art are the ways in which truth is revealed,and they are the ways in which people enter into destiny and gain freedom.But art is historic,unique and in no way synonymous with rigid modern technology that can be pasted and copied.Finally,the article discusses the art and other techniques to open the state of clarity on the salvation of technology.With the ultimate humanistic concern,Heidegger calls on humans to recognize the dangers of technology and return to the poetic homeland.In short,this paper tries to make a systematic study of the relationship between technology and art in Heidegger’s thoughts,and draws the similarities and differences between technology and art in terms of origin,theoretical foundation,and operating methods,and in terms of generative characteristics.
