What's the most important two elements in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language(TCFL)are language and culture,which two elements in teaching practice also are inseparable whole.Even though we can not deny language learning in principle part and have main position when a speakers of other language learning Chinese,and we also need to know about Chinese culture.We can not neglect culture when learning language,and we also can not forget language when learning culture.Currently,some courses about learning culture in Chinese university directed to foreign students mainly are Chinese skills and arts,such as paper-cut,Chinese knot,calligraphy,hand-writing,tai chi chuan and so on.In Overseas Education College of Xiamen University,the courses about Chinese culture including calligraphy,hand-writing,paper-cut,tai chi chuan.In Beijing Language and Culture College of Beijing Normal University,the culture courses mainly be hand-writing,tai chi chuan,Chinese calligraphy,the comparison between Chinese and foreign culture.Fudan University set up the Chinese technical ability course,also including hand-writing,paper-cut,seal cutting,tai chi chuan.The content of culture courses in current university is similar and almost fixed,and don't have text.At the same time,the culture of life-cultivation with Chinese medicine not be mentioned,much less a text republished about it.As you know,Chinese culture are vast and profound,the culture of life-cultivation with Chinese medicine is a part cannot be wiped out and should be know about by the foreign students.In addition,you can learn how to body care,take care of your health after learning about the culture of life-cultivation.To the culture teaching about life-cultivation with Chinese medicine,there are many sport college setting up a course named Chinese Traditional Theory and Methods of Health Maintenance,aimed to teach the students of sport college to learn how to cultivate own life bLut don't related to the TCFI.L.Although the culture of life-cultivation be listed separately in teaching,some different and colorful attempts arise constantly.For example,the course named Chinese Traditional Medical Culture,introducing the history and method of Traditional Chinese medicine,the Chinese herb,life-cultivation culture,diet and health.Besides,some persons still offer colorful imaginations for the teaching about life-cultivation in Chinese medicine.This paper puts forward an idea for the cultural course set up for foreign students studying in China,that adding the culture of life-cultivation with Chinese medicine in the Chinese culture learning courses and designing appropriate culture text.In the end,I hope more and more foreign students interested in the Chinese culuture and culture of life-cultivation.
