Language and culture are inseparable,which complement each other. Language is the most important carrier of cultureand it is also an important part of culture. The academic circle of TCFL generally believe that the Chinese language teaching and culture teaching are closely linked and thistwo is indispensable.Chineselanguage teaching must be accompanied with Chinese culture teaching. Meanwhile,Chinese culture teaching also needs the Chinese language teaching to be completed.As the time requires, Confucius Institute at the University of Yaounde ?? emerged under the background of the close culture communication between China and Cameroon. By now, the Confucius Institute has carried out cooperative Chinese teaching projects with Cameroon 22 schools. The student number there reached about 10000 people. CI at UY ?? is an important hub of the cultural exchange between China and Cameroon. The CI Headquarter at UY ?? is the central institution of the Cameroon CI. It is committed into adult Chinese language training. There is no doubt that the Chinese culture teaching of CI Headquarter at UY ?? is successful in Cameroon, but it also has some deficiencies.This paper will statistically analyze the Chinese culture teaching of CI Headquarter at UY ?? by doing the questionnaire, interview recordings, experience summary and literature review. It will sum up the merits and deficiencies of the Chinese culture teaching in CI at UY ??, in order to provide some reference for improving and developing the Chinese culture teaching in CI at UY ??. Meanwhile,Chineseteachers in CI at UY ??can improve their level of Chinese culture teaching by adopting others’ strong points and overcoming one’s weakness from this paper.This paper is divided into five chapters: Chapter one is the introduction, which includes an overview of the research background and significance of this paper, the research overview on culture teaching in TCFL and other overviews of relevant research, and elaboration of the related research work of this paper, which includes the research content, research methods and innovation of this paper.The second chapter is the investigation about the general situation of the culture teachingin CI at UY ??. Before the survey,I did the expectation and consideration of the design and implementation of the survey. Simultaneously, I also made the relevant description of the surveys. The third section is the main body of this chapter, which is about the statistics of the survey results, including the statistics ofthe questionnaire results and interview recording results.The third chapter is an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages ofculture teaching of CI Headquarter at UY ??, which includes two aspects, but focuses on the analysis of the culture teaching disadvantages.Chapter four is the suggestion for the culture teaching of CI at UY II. According to the analysis of the survey results, we should develop aculture teaching syllabus and plan, do a good job in the stage and continuity of Chinese culture teaching. At the same time, we should broaden the channels and enrich the ways of culture teaching. Finally, we should also improve the Chinese teachers’ ability and accomplishment.
