The process of language learning is a process in which learners sometimes make errors due to their assumptions,correct and modify the language constantly,and finally acknowledge the target language.During this process,there are unavoidably all kinds of errors.There are various types of errors.For example,errors can refer to the unconscious errors of second language learners when they use the language.They are errors or imperfections based on the target language.Such kinds of errors are systematic and regular,which reflect the speaker's linguistic competence and belong to the category of linguistic competence.By sorting out these errors,English teachers can understand the causes leading to these problems in the learning process more systematically.This paper not only helps teachers to increase their teaching competency,but also promotes students' language ability as well.Through experimental research,this paper mainly discusses three issues listed in below: 1.What effect does Error Analysis Theory have on students' English writing accuracy? 2.What effect does Error Analysis Theory have on students' English writing attitude? 3.Can Error Analysis Theory optimize senior high school students' English writing?On the basis of Error Analysis Theory,the author carries out the pre-test on 80 high school students in grade one in Gaizhou No.1 Senior High School in Yingkou city,and systematically analyses the errors in spelling,word choices and grammar in English compositions of senior high school students.During the four months,the author guides and corrects students' English writing.Then at the end of the semester,a post-test is also carried out by the author.According to the research data from pre-test and post-test,the author finds out the decrease of writing errors as well as the improvement of English writing evidently.Finally,some suggestions are given to English teachers to improve the students' learning of English writing.For the teachers,they should pay more attention to students' logic to understand why students write in that way,continue students' interest in English learning,improve their writing abilities.Secondly,English teachers should train students' basic language skills,and the ways of correcting students' errors and the last,encourage students to treat errors correctly.
