The Emergence And Development Of Polytonal Zheng

As a traditional Chinese national instrument,GuZheng has been well received by the public for many years.With the implement of the reform and opening up policy,the link between the world and china are increasing.With the rapid development of our country,the culture is also showing an increasingly diversified trend.The public’s pursue of aesthetic has been correspondingly improved.Many professional performers and composers are unsatisfied with the effect of the traditional instrument GuZheng and they want a broader space to show the charm of GuZheng.Therefore,a generation of Guzheng players have emerged and try their best to reform the GuZheng.In recent years,some new types of GuZheng have appeared.This paper begin with the study of the production of the newly developed —Polytonal Zheng and the other instruments which is reformed from Guzheng.After that,there is a comparison between GuZheng and Polytonal Zheng,in order to show that Polytonal Zheng is better than traditional GuZheng.The reform of GuZheng injects fresh blood into the traditional instrument and makes it more Energetic.This paper summarize the advantages and disadvantages of it and try to attract people’s attention to Polytonal Zheng.It’s better that people can give more thoughts on the development of the Polytonal Zheng,so that more GuZheng player and composer understand its and create more melodies to meet the needs of pubic.What’s more,making the national instrument —Guzheng more brilliant.
