Wei Jun,the composer of Guzheng Concerto "Source",is a professor of Xi’an Conservatory of Music and an inheritor of Qin Zheng music art.He is a guzheng performer,composer and theorist who dares toinnovate and explore.The performance of the whole work takes about 27 minutes and consists of three movements,respectively "Yellow Water Ballad","Golden Land",and "Longing for...".These three movements can be performed together as a work,or they can be performed independently.This is rare in the creation history of Guzheng works.The whole work contains the composer’s familiar creation techniques and meticulous carving of various musical elements.Many excellent works created by him,such as "Xing Zhe",have distinctive styles,and have had a positive impact on the creation and teaching of Guzheng in China.Starting from the composer’s creative background,combined with musical form and performance analysis,the author explores the composer’s Qin Zheng style in his music creation,hoping to provide relevant reference for future research of this kind.
