Tang kai,just as its name implies,is the regular script of Tang dynasty.It is a new rule of regular that was summarized and established on the basis of predecessors' calligraphy and makes the regular script more perfect.Ou Yangxun,Yu Shinan,Zhu Suiliang,Xue Ji,Lu Jianzhi,Xu Hao,Su Lingzhi,Zhang Xu,Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan are the main representative of regular script in Tang dynasty.Brushwork is some rules for the brush movement on the paper.The change of brushwork goes through all the fine point of writing operation.At the same time,it is hidden inside the dot and difficult to peek.Observing the movement from the shape of the brushwork is a very difficult thing,so are the depth and accuracy.As time flies,with the change of the writing habit,it is more and more difficult to feel the brushwork of predecessors' work.Therefore,brushwork becomes the most difficult in Chinese calligraphy techniques and also the most mysterious part.In addition to the system of Wang Xizhi calligraphy,which has a far-reaching influence on Tang,the origin of Chinese regular script writing style is also influenced by the style from the North,so the regular script writing style of Tang dynasty is the fusion of the North and South.There are two routes for the inheritance of the early regular script writing style.These two lines coming down from Zhang Xu,who preached and passed down to Xu Hao,Yan Zhenqing.And this also evolved into two lines,thus having a broad impact on the five dynasties and the calligraphy of late tang dynasty.The transmission of regular script writing style has a great influence on the establishment and development of the system of regular script,the stability and maturity,and the prosperity of writing style and structural theory.Meanwhile,there are also important value and significance for its influence on Song dynasty and later generations.This paper attempts to study the famous epigraph of the early Tang dynasty,middle Tang dynasty and later Tang dynasty.The famous inscription,the point and line in the famous calligraphy works,the specific movement of the brushwork and specific mode of motion,and specific mark left by the stroke are also discussed.
