| News websites provide various platforms for the mass to know news of politics,military,economy,culture and society around the world in the milieu of information globalization.And trans-editing of news plays a crucial role in news communication as the majority of global news is written in English.This report elaborates on the strategies and skills in the trans-editing of political and military news from English to Chinese by adopting eco-translatology Theory.In trans-editing political and military news,translators have to meet the requirements of news translation and adaptation: being time-sensitive,precise,properly adapted,and consistent with news-writing norms.According to eco-tranlatology,translators adroitly apply translation and trans-editing skills in translation practice to achieve the linguistic,cultural and communicative dimensional transformation of the original text.Translator adopt translation techniques of shift,addition and omission in translating vivid English words,correspondingly translate metonymy,and use translation skills of division and combination to translate English long sentences so as to achieve the linguistic dimensional transformation of the original text.Meanwhile,facing translation obstacles caused by cultural differences between English and Chinese,translator replenish and further check cultural background knowledge and make adaptive selection to realize the cultural dimensional transformation.Besides,translator apply the translation technique of shift to translate English passive sentences and trans-editing skills to adjust the contents and structure of the original text,adapting the translation version to the translational eco-environment so as to achieve the transformation of the communicative dimension. |
