"YingXiu",“ShuiMo” and “Radish Village” are the three sites selected in this paper.By using ethnographic research methods, this paper focuses on the narrative construction of Wenchuan by the local government and local people in the past ten years after the earthquake. The study finds that the earthquake is the overall framework of Wenchuan’s narration.Emphasizing strong emotions such as patriotism,gratitude,self-improvement and rebirth through rituals, space and other media. At the same time,“Wenchuan Narration” also presents different narrative themes according to the humanistic and historical characteristics of different regions. As the epicenter of Yingxiu Town, disaster does not mean pure loss in Yingxiu’s narration. It is also a test and coagulant. Therefore,on the basis of earthquake narration, the government has constructed other positive narratives such as thanksgiving, patriotism and so on.In the radish stockade and Shuimo ancient town, which are dominated by natural resources and Qiang cultural resources, earthquake narration is gradually being weakened, and is being replaced by leisure tourism narrative and cultural narrative.Qiang culture is an important cultural support for the reconstruction of radish stockade after the earthquake. It is demonstrated through replicating the ruins, clothing and language of the old stockade, relying on the national cultural narration. The development of fruit cultivation, cultural tourism and agricultural experience tourism have shaped a new development model of radish stockade after the earthquake.Through adopting Qiang culture and exploiting its natural resources,ShuiMo ancient town is regarded as a place of recreation, which has nothing to do with earthquakes and sadness. Therefore, the Wenchuan narration is not only a single narrative expression, but a combination of earthquake, culture, nature, patriotism, gratitude and other multiple narrative themes. |
