The Solemnity And Independence Of Life

Tang Junyi,as a representative of New-Confucianism,he has made achievements in both traditional and western culture,Human learning activities may divide into two forms: “action” and “knowledge”,“action” is defining their own behavior,“knowledge” is a concrete understanding of history,literature and science.Tang Junyi established the “solemnity” and “independence” of life by merging and creating the Confucian,Buddhism,Taoist and the German classical philosophy.Tang Junyi has constructed his own huge moral rational system,the “solemnity” and “independence” run through Tang Junyi's entire philosophy of life.From a static point of view,“solemnity” mainly reflect in the realization of life from the mind noumenon.Tang Junyi thought that the real world was illusory and impermanent,everything was moving,there was no real thing in the real world,so Tang Junyi established his own noumenon of mind,it is eternal and authentic,and it is the master of the world;from a dynamic point of view,it is a transcendence of itself,“solemnity” indirectly transcends the illusory world through the fusion and innovation,although he believed that the transcendence left the real world,it did not leave human beings themselves,we reached an inner “solemn” realm through the theoretical and practical significance.It is not only the truth of human inner virtue,but also the transcendence of cosmic entities,it shows the rising levels of life from the nine realms of the mind,and the mind tends to be “solemn” and “perfect”.“Independence” is the detachment of oneself in the process of sorrow.He thought that we regarded any activity as a real object in life,you got catch into it without any sense.We do that everything is a reality of spirit activity through the positive and negative aspects of life,the understanding of the value of life,the development of the mind and the interpretation of the ways of self-growth.This tells us that we constantly review oneself and improvement of our moral personality in the vulgar world.We should remove the restriction on ourselves in the moral practice of “controlling ourselves” and “conscious of one's thoughts” by building an “independent” moral self,it reminds us how to treat our lives better.The “solemn” and “independent” moral rational thought can dispel the false elements in life,it plays a positive role in our life,but Tang Junyi's thought contains conservative and over-confident judgment on traditional culture.At the end of the article,it is pointed out that we should adopt the way of “put Western culture into Chinese culture” to perfect and develop moral rationality better,and then to develop “independent” moral life based on the inner “solemn” noumenon.
