In order to promote the construction of a healthy China,the State Council promulgated the planning outline of ‘Healthy China 2030',which points out that it is necessary to develop a physical health intervention program for special groups such as the senior citizens.With the rapid development of China's economy,aging has become a very common phenomenon in China,and the health of the senior citizens has also become one of the factors that affect the harmonious development of society.Therefore,the concept of ‘active aging' was put forward accordingly and the aging process was regarded as a positive and dynamic process,which advocates that the senior citizens must have a healthy life and chances to make contribution to society.Since the early 1990 s when the China Sports Dance Association was established,sports dance has started to become popular and has developed rapidly in China.The young people are original enthusiasts at the beginning,but sports dance has its own uniqueness due to its content,technology,requirements and flexibility of the degree of difficulty.An increasing number of the senior citizens generally started to like and learn sports dance and have become a new group of sports dance,which makes the senior citizens benefit from it.In this paper,300 senior citizens of Lanzhou University for the Elderly were investigated by questionnaire on relevant factors.40 college students(20 males and20 females)were selected as the objects of sports dance intervention and measurement,and 12 of them were randomly interviewed from 40 people.The 40 people who were determined to be measured were trained in sports dance for 12 months,3-4 times per week,each time for 90 minutes.The first measurement was completed within one week after the target of intervention was determined,and the other 4 measurements were completed in the last ten days of the last month of the three months of intervention.And the measured data are collated,counted and analyzed.The results are as follows:(1).The male and female elderly people in Lanzhou University for the Elderly have made relatively obvious changes in body shape,mainly manifested in the obvious drop in the test data of body weight and waist circumference index,and a slight drop in hip circumference.(2).In terms of physical function,the vital capacity of the male and female elderly has increased to a certain extent each time compared with the last time.Compared with the last measurement,the vital capacity index of the male and femaleelderly increased significantly,especially after 6 months of exercise.Therefore,sports dance exercise can improve the heart and lung function of the elderly.(3).Although the physical fitness of the subjects showed a relatively stable trend after 3 months of exercise and 9 months of exercise,all indexes were enhanced after 12 months of physical dance exercise,which shows that physical dance exercise has a greater role in promoting the physical fitness of the elderly.(4).Psychologically,after 12 months of sports dance intervention,40 elderly people have made some improvement in psychology.The main manifestations are:harmonious interpersonal relationship,relaxed and cheerful spirit,positive attitude towards life,love in spare time,and many new friends.
