Study On The Ink Color Of Wang Xuetao's Flower-and-bird Paintings

Flower-and-bird painting is an important kind of painting in China.In the 20 th century,flower-and-bird painting gradually lost the traditional context of "literati painting" and began to transform from literati flower-and-bird painting to modern flower-and-bird painting.So as to expand the field of flower and bird painting,increase the richness and fun of painting techniques,emphasize the contrast between ink and color,and enhance the expressive force of color.Flower and bird painting in the traditional ink into the bright color,the color is more vivid,more intense,more subjective meaning,not only updated the visual experience of flower and bird painting,but also opened up a new development prospect of flower and bird painting.The research object of this paper is wang xuetao,an important flower and bird painter in the 20 th century.Combining the aesthetic requirements of The Times and the development rules of flower and bird painting itself,he takes his strengths in both meticulous brushwork and freehand brushwork.He is good at small freehand flower and bird painting,which is also composed by hand.His paintings have a wide range of themes,paying attention to observation,refining and summarizing the nature,paying attention to sketching and silent writing,with exquisite conception and both spirit and shape,showing the nature's physics,material situation and interest.In the application of brush and ink,we adhere to the traditional coloring principles of giving colors according to categories,coloring with shapes and displaying rhymes with colors.Meanwhile,drawing on the color rules of western paintings,we flexibly use color contrast and unity to achieve a harmonious overall color contrast and increase the rhythm of the picture.He retained the freehand flower-and-bird painting,pure and general and Chinese painting color charm,at the same time,skillfully in the use of color,in the ink to add some color,make the work rich in color,ink flexible,with approachable,refined and popular appreciation of the characteristics,all display the modern flower-and-bird painting information.Therefore,the study on the ink and color of wang xuetao's flower-and-bird painting is of certain guiding significance to the creation of current freehand flower-and-bird painting,and has important reference significance to the modern development of flower-and-bird painting.In order to clarify the unique manifestation and profound connotation of wang xuetao's flower-and-bird painting ink and color,as well as the influence on the innovation and development of flower-and-bird painting,this paper is written in four parts.The first chapter firstly sorts out the background of the development of flower and bird painting in the 20 th century and wang xuetao's learning process as well as his relationship with his teachers,so as to pave the way for the formation of his artistic thought and style.The second chapter,based on wang xuetao's artistic creation track and the development of time,summarizes his characteristics of "ink as the master","ink color combination" and "ink color rendering".In the third chapter,according to wang xuetao's different expressions of flower-and-bird painting ink and color,his application of traditional Chinese painting color and western painting color rules is summarized.The fourth chapter analyzes wang xuetao's ideological expression of the application of ink and color in flower-and-bird painting,and analyzes his influence on his immediate disciples and other flower-and-bird painting creators through exhibitions and specific works.
