The self-image and English classroom behaviors are the research orientation of English teaching and learning for a long time.On the one hand,self-image as an important psychological factor influencing English teaching and learning has attracted great attention,on the other hand,English classroom behaviors deeply reflect senior high school students' English learning status nowadays.In recent years,the research based on the correlation between self-image and English classroom behaviors is in great shortages.Therefore,by studying the correlation between senior high school students' self-image and their English classroom behaviors in this study,some suggestions are put forward for improving the two items,looking forward to inspiring the future relevant researches.With questionnaires and interviews as the research instruments,and with 268 senior high school students as research subjects,the present study attempts to answer the following three questions:(1)What is the overall situation of senior high school students' self-image?(2)What is the overall situation of senior high school students' English classroom behaviors? And(3)What is the correlation between senior high school students' self-image and their English classroom behaviors?The findings of this research indicate that(1)Senior high school students' self-image is moderate,and they perform best in social self and familial self while score lowest in psychological self;(2)Senior high school students' English classroom behaviors is unsatisfactory,and their performance in dominating others is the most undesirable while they score highest in sociability;(3)Senior high school students' self-image correlates with their English classroom behaviors with moderate relevance.On the basis of the major findings of this research,some relevant suggestions for students,teachers and familial members are presented.
