In the continuous development and transformation of society and technology,new technologies and new educational technologies are constantly emerging,which not only affects contemporary social life and education,but also expands the forms and means of teaching.On the one hand,new technologies and new educational technologies have promoted the transformation of teaching concepts in the field of education.On the other hand,they have greatly enriched the teaching resources,providing a new way to optimize the classroom teaching process,and then a new teaching model——“Flipped Classroom”turns up.The “Flipped Classroom ” teaching model originated from the United States.It can naturally combine the before-class with the in-class activities.It is a new teaching model that can effectively improve students' interest in learning and self-learning ability.In the field of education in China,“ Flipped Classroom” provides a new teaching idea for the education reform.It transforms the traditional classroom teaching into a new teaching model combining with the before-class and in-class.The teaching requirements of “student-centered” in senior high school new English curriculum standard can be implemented in the activities of teaching and learning.This paper applies “Flipped Classroom”teaching model to English teaching in a senior high school,aiming to promote students' learning ability from passive to active aspect and to enhance students' learningeffect and cultivate their ability to learn independently.This study proposes the following research hypotheses:(1)The implementation of the Flipped Classroom can improve students' English achievements;(2)The implementation of the Flipped Classroom can improve students' self-learning ability;(3)Teachers and students may hold a positive attitude towards the implementation of the Flipped Classroom.In this study,the teaching experiment method is adopted,and two parallel classes in grade one are selected as the research subjects: one class is randomly selected as the experimental class(53),and the other class is used as the control class(56).The experimental class uses the teaching model of “Flipped Classroom”,and the control class adopts the traditional teaching method.The teaching experiment is conducted for 18 weeks,and the experimental data is collected by pretest,post-test and questionnaire survey and individual interview methods.The collected experimental data are statistically analyzed and analyzed by SPSS.22.0software,and the research results are obtained.The conclusions of this study indicate that,first of all,the implementation of the “ Flipped Classroom ” teaching model improves the English scores of the experimental class students,and the mean value in the post-test of the experimental class(88.92)is 3.99 higher than the control class.Secondly,the "Flippd Classroom" teaching model enhances the ability of high school students to learn English autonomously.In addition,high schoolteachers and students have a positive attitude towards the implementation of the “ Flipped Classroom ” teaching model.Finally,this paper summarizes the limitations of the study,and also puts forward some suggestions for the follow-up.
