The Recognition Of Self-consciousness And Its Reduction In Time

From the point of view of Dieter Henrich,the self-consciousness in Kant’s theory is a kind of presupposition.P.F.Strawson treats apriori synthesis of selfconsciousness as transcendental psychological view and reject it.In the interpretation of Kant by Paul Guyer,the use of category is the key point and the apriori synthesis of self-consciousness is unnecessary.All of the above arguments think that the apriori synthesis of self-conscious is unnecessary metaphysical thing and non-temporal.This article try to clarify that selfconsciousness as apperception is the further recognition of Cartesian “cogito”and cannot be separated from time.Furthermore,from the phenomenology of Husserl,self-consciousness can be reduced to more evident fact.We will find that the synthetic unity of apperception is actually the temporal intentional constitution.As a contrast to phenomenology,this part also introduce the illumination of conceptual connections between self-consciousness,objectivity and time through the method of analytical philosophy.We will find that phenomenology and analytical philosophy are different in approach but equally satisfactory in result.The above ideal will illuminate the interpretation of Kant by Heidegger in Kant and the problem of metaphysics.The third part of this article will prove that Heidegger actually solve the problem of imagination and time through the method of temporal reduction of phenomenology.Of course,although Heidegger found that time is the basic dimension of transcendental problem,but he did not stop at the transcendental view.He breakthrough the problem of intention and went further into the problem of ontology and reduce the problem of time to the Dasein instead of transcendental intention.We can see this train of thought as the endeavor of transcend the modern subjective philosophy.The above reduction of self-consciousness experienced a progressive relationship of perspective which start from transcendental entity to intentionality and then the Dasein as “sorge”.
