Research On The Formation Of Compound Words In The Analects

As a major work in the pre-Qin period,"The Analects of Confucius" reflects the language of the time to a certain extent.This article takes the compound words in "The Analects of Confucius" as the research object,and explores the way of word formation from the two aspects of semantics and part of speech.The compound word formation methods of the Warring States Policy,Huainanzi,Zhengheng,and You Minglu are compared to summarize the law of their word formation.This article is divided into four parts:The first part is the first chapter of this article,divided into four sections.The first section is a review of the study of The Analects.Because this paper deals with language research,the research review mainly includes the vocabulary research and other language studies of The Analects.The second section is a review of the compound words,including its criteria,and the criteria for the determination of compound words.The third section is a review of the construction of word formation,including an overview of word formation and a study of word formation.The fourth section is the research significance and research methods of this paper.The second part is the second chapter of this paper: the formation of compound words in "The Analects" is the key chapter of this article,which is divided into four sections.According to the criteria of this paper,this part compares the number of compound words in The Analects and the general situation of various compound words.The first section is the composition of the compound compound,the second section is the composition of the partial compound compound,the third section is the composition of the compound compound,and the fourth section is the composition of the subject-predicate compound.The article is composed of semantics and part of speech.The analysis of the composition of these types of compound words.The third part is the third chapter of this article: Diachronic comparison of the formation of compound words in The Analects.This part compares the Analects ofConfucius with the "Warring States Policy" in the same period,the "Huainanzi" in the Western Han Dynasty,the "On the Balance" in the Eastern Han Dynasty,and the "You Ming Lu" in the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties.There are two comparisons: the first one compares the percentage of the total number of compound words,because the number of words in each book is different,so the total number of compound words cannot be compared.The second comparison is the contrast of part of speech.By referring to the research data of other scholars,we can find out the various compound words in the comparison and compare the part of speech.The fourth part is the fourth chapter of this article: the conclusion part.The conclusions drawn from the data: joint compound words and partial formal compound words have always been the most productive form of word formation,and the verb-objective and subject-predicate,supplementary-type energy production is not high,which corresponds to the corresponding word formation in modern Chinese.The productivity of the way is consistent.There is basically no supplement in the pre-Qin Chinese.The proportion of verb-object and subject-predicate is also small,not the main way of word formation,indicating that at this time,these two ways of word formation are still in their infancy,not mature.The conclusion drawn from the way of word formation: The joint form of the Analects mainly constitutes nouns,and some forms of word formation are used by inheritance,followed by verbs,adjectives,and no joint adverbs.It is mainly composed of nouns,and it forms the most forms of nouns,the most complicated,and some forms of word formation that have been used since the pre-Qin period.The formation of partial formal verbs has a form of word formation that has been inherited,no formal adjectives,and less formal adverbs.The verb-style mainly constitutes verbs and nouns,and the main predicate mainly constitutes verbs.No matter which way of word formation,the development of it is more and more,the way of word formation is gradually increasing.This shows the richness of language use,and as people understand things,there will be more and more word formation.
