In the daily communication with foreign students,although many students could communicate fluently in Chinese,there is a colloquial tendency in their compositions.Based on the research results of linguistics,this paper takes foreign students'compositions as the source of corpus,explores and classifies the characteristics of foreign students'colloquialism problems in Chinese writing,analyzes the reasons and proposes relevant suggestions.The first chapter introduces the origin,research status and theoretical basis of this paper and summarizes the theory of stylistics with a comprehensive analysis of the relevant research of stylistics.The second part expounds the research ideas and methods.It also summarizes the colloquial problems in the foreign students'composition from four aspects of vocabulary,phrase,sentence and discourse.The colloquial problems mainly appears in vocabulary in which Japanese and Korean students are used to use modal particles as well as discourse.Moreover,the language phenomenon of“Erhua”(??)has appeared in all kinds of words.The third chapter mainly analyzes the reasons of the colloquial tendency of middle and high level foreign students'writing from the perspective of language,students,teachers and textbooks.Although middle and high level foreign students have learned some knowledge about stylistics,they are not good at the stylistic switching which may caused by lacking the accumulation of written words and the stylistic awareness.They often directly transferred spoken expressions to the written material.The fourth chapter puts forward relevant suggestions according to the causes.Teachers should change the traditional teaching style of writing and encourage students to write not just to say.Teachers can also make students be familiar with the stylistic features of various texts,and develop a sense of style to acquire the stylistic awareness by providing many typical texts.Finally,the conclusion part summarizes the research results and shortcomings of this paper.
