Folk story are a kind of literary works that the masses collectively create and verbally pass on.It reflect the social life,the ideal aspirations and values of the people.The folk story of Laos' Laolong ethnic andThai'Thai ethnic is an important part of the folk literature and cultural heritage of the two countries,and also a treasure of the world culture.It has research value inmany aspects.Laolong ethnic in Laos and Thai ethnic in Thailand have created rich folk story in the long-term historical development as cross-border Dai-Tai ethnic groups.Among them,the story of “Sinsai” is well known and widely spread.The story of “Sinsai” in Laos and Thailand have many forms : oral transmission,religious text,narrative poem and drama and so on.Because of the same ancestor and cultural roots,also belong to the Buddhist culture circle of the Southern Mission,the folk literature of the two countries is deeply influenced by the Buddhist thought.Therefore,the story of "Sinsai" has obvious characteristics of Buddhist fables both in content and form.However,due to the influence of different social and cultural environments,the story of "Sinsai" in the two countries show their own local characteristics,which reflect thevalues,religious beliefs,customsand social systemsof the people at that time.The full text is divided into five parts: Introduction: summarizing the research background;Chapter one is an overview of the spread of the story “Sinsai” in Laos and Thailand,summarizing the source of the story and the circulating versions in Laos and northeastern,northern,central and southern parts of Thailand.This text focuses on the tales of Laos and north-east Thailand and central Thailand.Chapter two,a comparative analysis of the three different text of Laos,Northeastern and Central Thailand's "Sinsai" from the main content,the main plot,plot structure and the motif of the story.Chapter three is the cultural values of the story of "Sinsai" of Laos and Thailand in five aspects: primitive beliefs,Buddhist ideas,hierarchy,values,and moral qualities.Conclusion,summarize the full text,summarize the main content and viewpoints ofthis thesis.This text explors the folk literature works of the Laolong and Thai ethnic with the same origin in different regions,and makes a comparative analysis of the samilarities and differences of the "Sinsai" story in Laos and northeast Thailand as well as in the central part of the country.The spread and variation of different national boundaries deeply excavate the cultural values contained in the tales and elaborate on the cultural customs religious beliefs and values inherited jointly by the Laolong ethnic and Thai ethnic as Dai-Tai ethnic groups.
