With the development of modern society,people are paying more attention to the development of education.Education is the foundation of the country and the symbol of the prosperity of the nation.Therefore,China are constantly learning from Western advanced teaching methods to promote the development of education.Education Studies: An Issue Based Approach is a study of English education methods,educational concepts and the analysis of problems in education and teaching,which will be conducive to the development of educational research.It aims to support students' learning as well as professional development through education studies.The author selects the first,fourth and fifth chapters of the book as translation materials,and then writes a translation report on this basis.The author carefully analyzes the translation material,the structural form and the linguistic features of informative text and completes the translation practice under the guidance of Skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule of Skopos theory.This translation report mainly includes task description,translation description,case study and conclusion.Firstly,the author introduces the source text,analyzes of text features and structure of translation report.After that,the author mainly introduces the entire translation process and the auxiliary tools.In the case study,the author mainly discusses the problems encountered during the translation process and the solutions.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the author analyzes the differences between Chinese and English language and connection problems.Then the author discusses the translation of term,attributive clause,passive sentence,addition and ellipsis in specific contexts.Educational texts need to be flexible in adopting various translation strategies in order to make the translations more fluent,in line with Chinese expression habits and the expected effect of the source text.At the same time,the author also hopes that this translation report will provide some reference for the translation of educational academic papers in the future.
