During the Mongolian period,the development of Christianity in China showed great vitality.At that time,the Christians in China mainly included the Nysteli and the Catholic Franciscans,which were introduced through the Silk Road,and all left a rich legacy and relics here.The Yuan Dynasty Christian inscriptions were discovered in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,Beijing,Yangzhou City,Jiangsu Province and Quanzhou City,Fujian Province.This paper mainly focuses on the Christian inscriptions in the Yuan Dynasty in China,collects and distributes the distribution and pattern of Christian inscriptions in various regions.It mainly uses the inductive summarization method and cultural factor analysis method to analyze the cultural sources and modeling categories of the decorative patterns on Christian Inscriptions in the Yuan Dynasty.These Christian inscriptions are engraved with patterns of crosses,lotuses,angels,moir ,and entangled patterns.Thereinto,the unique phenomenon in which the cross and the lotus are used together is considered to be the product of religious fusion,the moir and entangled patterns have distinct regional characteristics which these predecessors rarely mentioned,other decorative patterns also inherit the genes of different cultural systems.Therefore,it has a high research value.The decorative patterns on the Christian inscriptions of the Yuan Dynasty not only have a long history,but also profound meanings.Through the study of the above decorative patterns,we can understand more about the cultural exchanges between the East and the West in China during the Mongolian Yuan Dynasty.
