| In recent years,with the academic research on the history of Sino-Ryukyu relations and the history of Ryukyu Kingdom rising,the Qing Dynasty salvage aid system established under the patriarchal vassal system has attracted extensive attention from Chinese and foreign scholars.The paper through compiling and interpreting the Chines records of Ryukyu drifting refugees in the ancient literatures about Sino-Japanese relations,such as the Sino-Japanese relations archives in the Qing Dynasty,the Ming and Qing Dynasties Record,the Family Genealogy of Jiumi Village,the Treasure Case of the Past Dynastise and so on,elaborates the evolution of the refugee relief system of the Ryukyu in the Qing Dynasty over the past hundred years.The paper focuses on the origin of the system and the inheritance of the early Qing Dynasty,and the public banking trend of the salvation and pension expenses during the Yongzheng and the Qianlong Period,and the definitiveization of the tribute-ship pension during the Jiaqing period,and the disposal and illegality of the objects carried by the Ryukyu Floating refugees.Finally,the paper explored how Chinese and Ryukyuan governments delta with the issue of the salvation and repatriation of refugees from Ryukyu to China,after Japan annexed Ryuky in the late Qing Dynasty.The study of the origin and evolution of the system can not only help deepen the understanding of Sino-Qiang relations in the Qing Dynasty,but also help to systematically understand the traditional flood rescue system in Northeast Asia in the Qing Dynasty. |
