| This thesis attempts to research Lao-tzu’s "blandness" theory from three aspects:First of all,this thesis orts out the use and writing of the word "blandness" in many handed-down versions of Lao-tzu from the perspective of bibliology.On the basis of clarifying the chapters where the word "blandness" appeared,the "blandness" of Lao-tzu is analyzed at the level of philosophical connotation and from the perspective of the history of commentaries.Former scholars mainly explained Lao-tzu’s "blandness" from the perspectives of "taste","Taoism" and "heart".Based on it,the author believes that the "blandness" of Lao-tzu can be further explained from the perspectives of "behaviors" and "words".Secondly,the thought of "blandness" can be investigated after being put into the whole ideological system of Lao-tzu,so as to determine the status of the category of "blandness".From the perspective of differentiating and analyzing the three categories of "nature","plain" and "peacefulness",although "blandness" was not the core category of Lao-tzu’s thoughts,it was generated by its core category("nature")and was the extension and implementation of the most fundamental value of "blandness" at the level of life.In Lao-tzu’s philosophy of life,"peacefulness" is an inescapable category.In view of this,this thesis defines "blandness" as Lao-tzu’s most ideal personality state and spiritual realm and "indifference to fame or gain" represents the ideal realm of life and attitude of Lao-tzu.Thirdly,based on clarifying the status of "blandness" in Lao-tzu’s ideological system,the author explores the way of "blandness" in Lao-tzu’s Experience.Lao-tzu’s thought is a full and complete system.In Lao-tzu’s opinion,the cultivation of Taoism and mind is an inseparable process,and the process of cultivating mind is also the process of experiencing "blandness".Lao-tzu pointed out two paths from the perspective of apoha and annotation expression: negation of "wiping and cleansing the vision of the mystery" on interest and charm and affirmation of "arriving at the virtual extreme and keeping quiet and earnest".Finally,this thesis analyzes the possibility of Lao-tzu’s "blandness" developing into the history of aesthetic and its influence on the history of aesthetic.From the perspective of the original context of Lao-tzu,"blandness" is a concrete description of "Taoism",which definesthe category of "blandness" philosophically.In view of the transcendence of Lao-tzu’s thought and the inherent unity of the thinking mode of Chinese classical aesthetics,his "blandness" theory has been constantly developing towards aesthetics.From the specific category of art,Lao-tzu’s "blandness" theory was introduced into the field of poetry and painting,which formed a "plain" and "peaceful" realm.More importantly,Lao-tzu’s "blandness" theory had a profound and direct influence on the mind and personality of literati,which made Chinese literati present a temperament and aesthetic method of being "indifferent as chrysanthemum" in personality and temperament. |
