| Junior high school stage is a crucial period for students to develop interest in English learning.Grammar learning plays a pivotal role in this stage.In the traditional English grammar teaching class,the teacher is the main body,and the students only passively accept the knowledge.Students can’t effectively internalize the grammar knowledge they have learned.This kind of teaching method makes the grammar learning more boring.Students’ interest in grammar learning is low.As the product of teaching informatization,micro lectures have brought about a new revolution in the field of education.According to the students’ actual knowledge level,the teacher analyzes the teaching content and designs the teaching video which is close to the students’ real life.Students can learn micro lectures anytime and anywhere.The illustrated and vivid knowledge explanations make it easy for students to understand grammar knowledge and stimulate their interest in learning grammar.In this study,the researcher first expounded the importance of English grammar and the current situation of English grammar teaching in junior high school,and then analyzed the research status of English grammar and micro lectures by consulting and collating relevant literature at home and abroad.Under the support of the theoretical foundations of mastery learning,autonomous learning and audiovisual learning,combined with the characteristics and types of micro lectures,the researcher carried out the empirical study on English grammar teaching based on micro lectures in junior high school.Students from Class 5 and 6,Grade 8 of Shijiazhuang No.10 junior high school were selected as subjects for this study.Class 5 was the control class,using traditional teaching methods for grammar teaching.Class 6 was the experimental class,which adopted English grammar teaching based on micro lectures to learn grammar.After nearly half a year of preparation,the researcher combined the curriculum standards and teaching contents to design specific micro lectures cases and applied them to the actual teaching.This study mainly used three research instruments: questionnaire,interview and test.To ensure the authenticity and reliability of the experiment,all the data in this study were analyzed by SPSS and Excel software.After the three-month teaching experiment,the researcher obtained the findings of this study.On the one hand,English grammar teaching based on micro lectures stimulates students’ interest in grammar learning.As the novel learning resources,micro lectures break the boring grammar learning atmosphere and make grammar learning an interesting thing.Students’ interest in grammar learning has been improved.On the other hand,English grammar teaching based on micro lectures improves students’ English grammar achievements.The concise language and life-close explanation in micro lectures create conditions for students to understand and master grammar knowledge.By comparing the results of pre-test and post-test,the grammar achievements of the students in the experimental class have been improved obviously.Furthermore,the application of micro lectures also gives some implications in this study.The design of micro lectures needs to be hierarchical,so as to meet the needs of students with different foundations.Teachers should strengthen the reasonable arrangement of the teaching process so that the students can learn what they can obtain.Teachers need to change the traditional teaching philosophy,let students become the main body in the classroom,fully mobilize the students’ enthusiasm for learning,and promote the effective development of English grammar teaching. |
