Study On Xiong Shili's Thought Of Ruling By Virtue

In China,the idea of "rule by morality" has a long history.In Chinese history,Confucius and Mencius are famous for describing the idea of "rule by morality".It should be said that "rule by morality" is a concept with rich connotations and contemporary style.Since the thinkers live in different times,the ideas are different.Mr.Xiong Shiliis one of the most important representatives of modern Neo-Confucianism.Absorbing the thoughts of predecessors,he put forward and endow the new connotation of "rule of morality".Mr.Xiong Shili contributed all his life to enrich the Chinese culture.He tried to promote the internal moral cultivation of Chinese people through academic researches,and then solve the problems at that time.Mr.Xiong Shili's thought came into being in an era when China's internal and external troubles were extremely serious,Chinese culture was almost cut off then.On the basis of his own experience,Mr.Xiong Shili rethought that only by establishing a metaphysical moral system could he save people's spiritual life,and consequently save nation and culture.The core and foundation of Mr.Xiong Shili's thought ' rule by morality'' is his ontology.Ontology is not a physical existence.But a process of popularization and change.As ontology is living,it can also be called life,constant change,changeability and function.Ontology exists in phenomenon,but not is phenomena.Therefore,ontology and phenomena are inextricably related.Everything has its own totality,that is,itself is everything.Therefore,the cosmic ontology is also the essence of human beings.Because noumenon has the nature of life with no intention,it has both benevolence and silence,which makes noumenon also the moral noumenon and the source of moral value.the noumenon is life,so the value and significance of life lie in following the original mind and actively innovating,and the changing of people themselves,nature and society.Based on the theory of human nature,he put forward that to achieve oneself is to improve the inner self-cultivation and strengthen the moral self-cultivation.However,it is not the whole content of moral cultivation,it also contains the embodiment of the essence.Mr.Xiong Shili believed that the Moral Governance of the whole society could be realized by governing the country with rites,constructing the internal rule of rites and music,and pursuing the social atmosphere of freedom,equality anddemocracy.Xiong Shili's thought "rule by morality" not only covers the Confucian ideas of benevolence,etiquette,public service,selfishness,goodness,self-cultivation and harmony,but also highlights the concepts of "one under heaven" and "one under heaven for the public",and actively absorbed the beneficial things of western culture.Combining with the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics,we will further reflect on the contemporary value of Xiong Shili's thought.On the one hand,it will help us deeply understand and grasp the main idea of Xiong Shili's thought of governing by morality,so as to promote the in-depth study of his philosophy;on the other hand,in view of the problems of state governance in today's society and how to practise the socialist core values,we should learn theoretical wisdom and practical ways from the thought of "rule by morality".
