To explore roots of transtextuality from the author's perspective,we must start with the definition and characteristics of transtextuality. There are five types of transtextuality: intertextuality, paratextuality, metatextuality, architextuality and hypertextuality.Based on these five types,we find that the transtextuality is supported by fixed literary constants. From the relationship between text and subject and the connotation of intersubjectivity and intertextuality to examintranstextuality,Transtextuality is based on intertextuality.Grasping the two typical characteristics of intersubjectivity and literary constants, and exploring transtextuality from the perspective of text creators,it is inseparable from the universal psychological basis of human beings, including prototypes, common sense and motifs.Under the constraints and guidance of the common psychological mechanism, the author repeats and transcends existing literary works, and transtextuality has become an essential factor in the development of literature. This paper revolves around the above ideas and tries to explore the problem of solving the roots of transtextuality from the author's perspective. The thesis begins with the definition of transtextuality, the relationship between text and subject, the psychological basis of transtextuality, and literary repetition and transcendence. Thus, the thesis analyzes the roots of transtextuality from four chapters according to above aspects respectively. The first chapter, based on the classification of transtextuality by Genette, analyzes the connotation of intertextuality, paratextuality, metatextuality, architextuality and hypertextuality. On the basis of five trantextual types, the fixed literary forms, content, themes and other literary constants are the main features of transtextuality. On the basis of the five transtextual types discussed by Genette, the author summarizes the important role of literary constants in the stable development of transtextuality, and also emphasizes the close relationship between the five types that are inseparable and mutually integrated. In the second chapter, from the definition of intersubjectivity, the connotation of intertextuality and the relationship between subject and text in transtextuality,it is concluded that transtextuality is a kind of intertextuality that is based on intersubjectivity.Transtextuality is based on intertextuality, with intersubjectivity as the middle, which is an intertextualintertextuality. The third chapter, based on the above two chapters on the intertextualintersubjectivity,it seeks the root of transtextuality from the common psychological basis of human beings, such as prototype, common sense and motif. It explains the reason why the transtextual possession of literary constants from the perspective of the motif, the motif is about the smallest component of a story, these minimally dispersed in the text, resulting in transtextuality. The fourth chapter discusses the importance of transtextuality to the development of literature from the two aspects of literary repetition and literary transcendence.Transtextuality promotes the development of literary development.Transtextual transcendence is created and transcended on the basis of repetition.Transtextuality provides a solid foundation for the development of literature.Starting from the definition of transtextuality,we will dig deeper into the characteristics of transtextuality, and then explore the root of transtextuality from the common psychological basis of human intersubjectivity based on the typical characteristics of literary constants.Seeking for the root of transtextuality according to the common psychological mechanism of human beings is not only the emphasis on transtextual phenomena, but also the examination and care of the overall destiny and life of whole human beings.
