After the culture turn of translation study, the key stone was switched from the language transformation of linguistic level to the context of target language and other related cultural factors that restrained translation. The culture turn not only provided a new perspective for translation study, but also intensified the study on subjectivity, and the translators’cultural identity and subjectivity became one of the important research subject. In our country there were quite a many articles about the studies on subjectivity, but most of them discussed from literary perspective, few of them involved the limits and the scope of the interpreters’ subjectivity. From the trend of the whole subjectivity studies of translation, the translation subject study is turning to the subjectivity and inter-subjectivity. However, there are few studies about the influence of the inter-subjectivity on translators’ and interpreters’ subjectivity. With the increasing international contacts in the world, the interpretation activity became more frequently. Therefore, the study on interpreter’s subjectivity can not only help the interpreters shake off the shackles of some interpretation conventions, but also provide guidance for their creative treason in the process of interpretation, which make the interpreters to complete their interpretation task in a effective way. This thesis tries to explore the subjects in interpretation, the inter-reactive relation between them and their influences on interpreters’subjectivity through discussing the concept of subject and inter-subjectivity. The author tries to figure out the reason caused the exertion of the interpreters’ subjectivity and the process through probing into the interpreters’ cognition process in interpretation. This thesis makes use of the hermeneutic theories to elaborate the constraint of the inter-subjectivity on the interpreters’subjectivity; and applies cognitive theories to illuminate the process and the scope of interpreters’subjectivity. The author proposes the ways on how interpreters should exert their subjectivity under the constraint of the inter-subjectivity after giving and illustrating examples. The primary issues that this thesis probes are:the inevitability and the process of the exertion of the interpreters’ subjectivity; the influence of the inter-subjectivity on interpreters’subjectivity; and the ways on how to exert the interpreters’ subjectivity. The study finds out that the interpretation is a practical activity with the participation of several subjects. The subjects respect and recognize each other, and conduct equal communications. The interpreters’ subjectivity is influenced by other subjects of the interpretation. The restrictions of inter-subjectivity on interpreters are manifested in the close relations between the speaker and the interpreter, and the interpreter and the hearer. The exertion of interpreters’subjectivity is manifested in the every stage of human’s recognition, which reflects in the interpretation. Only when the interpreters deal with the relation between their subjectivity and the inter-subjectivity in a dialectic way can they conduct a successful interpretation. The author believes that the study will expand the study on interpreters’ subjectivity and inter-subjectivity, thus provide a new perspective for interpretation study.
