Test anxiety is a complex emotional reaction state,which is characterized by worry,tension or anxiety.Severe examination anxiety not only affects the performance of learning level,but also becomes an emotional disorder that affects mental health and seriously endangers students' physical and mental health.High school students face great pressure to enter a higher school,and the phenomenon of exam anxiety is particularly prominent.Therefore,it is an important part of school mental health education,counseling and consultation to help students solve exam anxiety.The purpose of this study is to explore a scientific and effective intervention program for examination anxiety,to help high school students to solve the problem of examination anxiety,and to promote their physical and mental health development.In this study,a high school student with moderate exam anxiety who was treated by the researcher during his internship in nantong psychological counseling center was taken as the research object and the exam anxiety diagnostic questionnaire was used as the main research tool.In accordance with the principles and procedures of psychological counseling,reasonable emotional therapy was used for three months of counseling.The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of rational emotion therapy on improving students' exam anxiety.The research process is mainly divided into the following stages:First of all,problems are found and the case candidates are determined by observation and interview.In the stage of psychological diagnosis,interview,observation and scale test were used to collect the information of individual cases.On this basis,expert consultation was conducted to preliminarily determine the type,degree and cause of psychological problems of individual cases,and a counseling intervention plan was formed.At the stage of counseling and intervention,reasonable emotional therapy is mainly used to help the case correct the wrong cognition,change the unreasonable belief and effectively relieve the case examination anxiety.At the same time,relaxation training,self-confidence training and other techniques are used to help the case strengthen the psychological endurance.Finally,the treatment effect was evaluated by consultant evaluation,psychological scale posttest,case report and friends and family reflection.After three months and five stages of psychological intervention,the client's emotional state was basically stable,the level of test anxiety was significantly reduced,and his mental outlook was also improved compared with the previous period.The study concluded that,the cause of individual test anxiety is not the test event itself,but the examinee's cognitive evaluation of the test event,that is,the unreasonable belief and wrong cognition of the test;using reasonable emotion therapy to conduct individual counseling intervention for students with exam anxiety can effectively alleviate their exam anxiety and improve their exam anxiety level.
