The curriculum reform has asked that the classroom should be returned to students,and students should be the master of the classroom,as well as the classroom is full of life vitality.However,in the realistic English reading class in senior high school,many teachers focus on grammar and vocabulary teaching,but ignoring the cultivation of students ' autonomous learning ability and cooperation ability.The students' subjectivity is not fully reflected,and objectively the natural ecology of the classroom is destroyed.In order to solve these problems,educators propose that we should think and grasp English reading teaching from the perspective of ecology,and try to construct the ecological classroom.The main idea of ecological classroom is to respect,awaken and motivate life,and making students,teachers and classrooms are integrated,which is in line with the requirements of English curriculum reform.This paper attempts to use the concept of ecological classroom to guide the teaching practice of English reading,and attempts to the construction of English reading ecological classroom,in order to achieve the real unification of reading teaching and student development.This thesis is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,including six aspects: the origin of research,literature review,research significance,research purposes and content,research thought and methods,the definition of core concept.The second part summarizes the theoretical basis,connotation,characteristics of the ecological classroom of English reading in senior high school.The third part is the currency and the causes of English reading teaching in senior high school of the K City.The investigation found that there are some problems of English reading teaching can be found in senior high school,including: the singleness of reading teaching environment,the lack of reading teaching content,and the reading teaching focuses on the teacher's "teaching",but ignoring students ' learning.In addition,the evaluation of reading teaching ignores the individualized development of students.There are some reasons of why the teaching effect of high school English reading is not ideal: first,the theory of reading teaching theory is in the period of old and new change;second,the complexity of reading teaching itself;third,the teacher's reading teaching idea is in conflict with the current education system;finally,students do not seem to attach any importance to English reading.The last part tries to come up with the strategies of constructing English reading ecological classroom in senior high school.The following strategies can be used: optimizing the English reading classroom environment;enriching and expanding the content of English reading teaching;implementing the multivariate and dynamic teaching process;and improving the evaluation mode of English reading teaching.
