Migrant workers’ children are young children who are born in the countryside, followed by their parents from the countryside to the city, but whose household is not in the city. For the special group, parents are busy with their livelihoods, and it is difficult for children to get enough love and companionship from their parents.Peer relationship is an important interpersonal relationship between for children. In primary school, children’s interactions are slowly turned from parents to peers, they can get support and warmth from peers, from the perspective of developmental psychology, this is a new proposition of its important life stage. However, because migrant workers’ children came to strange cities from the rural areas where they lived for a long time, they could not adapt to the school’s educational environment and urban lifestyle. They could hardly have other companions in this city besides the school’s companions,so good peer relationships are more important for migrant workers’ children. At the same time, because the migrant workers’ children do not have emotional and psychological sense of belonging and satisfaction among their parents and companions,it is easy to cause a lack of security. Therefore,it is of practical significance to explore how to improve the peer relationship and security level of migrant workers’ children. This study is divided into two parts: Study 1,to investigate and analyze the current situation of the peer relationship and the sense of security of migrant workers’ children, and to study the relationship between the peer relationship and the sense of security of migrant workers’ children。Using cluster sampling method,303 students in grade 5 and grade 6 of a primary school that mainly receives migrant workers’ children from surrounding cities were selected for a questionnaire survey.Through communication with class teachers in charge of each class,it was confirmed that the subjects in grade 5 and grade 6 all conform to the definition of migrant workers’ children in this study,of which 287 were valid subjects.Study 2,design targeted group psychological counseling activities, through intervention to improve the level of peer relationships of migrant workers’ children, and thus enhance their sense of security.Using the experimental group(43 people),the placebo group(43 people),and the control group(43 people)to compare the experimental design,8 groups of peer relationship group psychological counseling activities were applied to the experimental group, and 8 non-targeted group psychological counseling activities that did not involve peer relationships were applied to the placebo group. The control group did not apply any treatment. After the intervention, respectively analyzed the data of three groups before and after the test and the comparative data of the three groups. The research conclusions are as follows:Study 1 shows that the peer relationship of migrant workers’ children is significantly affected by gender and whether it is the class committee;the safety of migrant workers’ children is significantly affected by gender and whether it is the class committee. There is a significant positive correlation between the peer relationship and security of migrant workers’ children and their dimensions(the dimension of interpersonal security and the dimension of control).Study 2 shows that targeted group psychological counseling activities can significantly improve the level of peer relationships among migrant workers’ children, thereby enhancing their sense of security. |
